goodness gracious what a sweet day this truly was. jaime + collin chose wedgewood on boulder creek as the place to tie the knot with their closest family and friends! the day was incredibly intimate and sweet in every way. I have never felt so peaceful on wedding day before! there was no stress, no running around like crazy, and only happy happy tears!
jaimes gorgeous dress was MADE by her sweet mother, hand made and fit her flawlessly! it was the sweetest touch of something special for this gorgeous bride
the day began with jaime + collin getting ready with their families and friends before we snuck away for their first look next to the creek.
jaime + collins ceremony was tender and intimate in every way. surrounded by sweet family and friends it was easy to see how much love these two are showered with, especially on their wedding day.
of course we had to sneak back towards the creek for photos of these two cuties before they jetted off to celebrate on the dance floor, and boy was it the most perfect setting for these two! string lights and soft florals filled the whole space and every bit of the day was so warm and loving
every little detail was thought of for these two. each seat at the farm tables had a gift with the couples initials and the tables were adorned with gorgeous florals that the brides sister in law and the Painted Prim Rose created just for the day!
i wont evem lie.. my favorite cake in the history of ever was this one! i love the delicate design and sweet flowers, BUT the best best part was the coconut cake with fresh coconut shreds mixed in with fresh passionfruit in between the layers! SO DANG DELICIOUS! thank you Kelly Leigh Cakes for this amazing cake!
Wedgewood at Boulder Creek is one of my very favorite venues in Colorado and they did an amazing job at making the space special and tailored to jaime + collin! the sweet farm tables and chairs made it feel so put together and the staff is always so helpful and kind! such a great venue and it was so perfect fort his wedding day!
everything was so very perfect in every way. I am so very grateful to have captured this gorgeous wedding and the sweet love jaime + collin share! thank you thank you jaime + collin for choosing me and for sharing your day with me!
Aahhh, one of my favorite moments from photographing a wedding is when I get home, upload and process all the images, and come across a few that just make my heart skip a beat, those photos I can stop myself from editing and exporting to send over to my client to show them how incredible their day really was, and these images right here make me sooo happy, I hope they help you see just a bit into the perfect day that was Abby + Byrons wedding
Thank you thank you thank you to my second shooters Markie and my mama Marlene for helping me with this wedding, I was in the bridal party so I had to step back and hand the reins to them to cover the ceremony and bridal party photos and I am SO thankful!!
Isn't this couple GORGEOUS
I was in tears this whole day for several reasons, one of them being how incredibly delicious this cake looks!!
I just LOVED every little bit of this incredible day, and couldn't be happier to see two incredible people vow to spend the rest of their days together
Thank you Abby + Byron and love you both so very much!!
I met Abbie in college... (I can say that like it was forever ago because I am officially post-grad!)
My roommate freshman year worked with Abbie and just knew her and I HAD to meet, and she was right. Abbie + I connected instantly over our excitement to go through sorority recruitment, she was my best pal through the whole process, and even when we joined different sororities I loved seeing her at events and around campus (and spending time in her dorm because hers had AC and mine didn't!!)
When I found out Ryan proposed to Abbie, I wasn't surprised at all. I think everyone could see that he is so in love with her, it was so easy to tell that they were meant to spend forever together
When Abbie asked me to be the photographer for her very special day I was so honored (she was my first bride EVER!) I was so happy she trusted me to capture such an important day to her, and I also knew that she wouldn't skip any detail, the day would be PERFECT!
So, of course I said yes, and booked her engagement session!
Abbie + Ryans wedding day was nothing short of perfect, the morning ceremony was gorgeous and I may have shed a tear or two while listening to their vows to each other
The ceremony and reception were held at Willow Ridge Manor in Morrison, Colorado - just next to Red Rocks Ampitheater, thank goodness because we had some of our own red rocks to work with after the ceremony!
I just loved every little detail of this very special day! Thank you thank you Abbie + Ryan for trusting me to capture such a special day and for sharing your love!
THANK YOU to all the amazing vendors who made this gorgeous day happen!

Look at this stinkin cute couple - I honestly love nothing more than photographing couples who would rather laugh and look at each other and not me, those are my most favorite photos in the end. Shelby and Kyle have been together awhile and I was so happy to finally help them get some photos together!
It was so fun to finish up my last spring shoot with such a fun couple - Thank you Shelby and Kyle for beings willing to explore new photo spots and have so much fun with me!
To book a shoot for you and your boo head over to my photography page and set up your own session now!
I shared an incredible spring afternoon with Nicole on one of her favorite golf courses. She just graduated from UNC and is heading off into the big kid world! I was so grateful to have her in front of my camera and get such great shots!
Thank you so much Nicole for choosing me for your senior photoshoot and I am so excited to see all you do in the adult world!!
From high school sweethearts to the cutest engaged couple Ive had in front of the camera, Cady and Cody beamed through the lens and made it so easy to capture all their love in every photo. We chose a gorgeous mansion near Lookout Mountain and spent a warm day with the snow covered fields.
Look how cute they are ugh - you can just tell when a couple truly loves each other.
Thank you so much Cady + cody for having me as your engagement photographer! I am so excited for you two and your love filled lives together!
Boudoir is something that I feel helps girls feel so confident and amazing about their bodies and their selves, but this girl doesn't need it. Alexis is one of the most confident and beautiful people inside and out that I have ever met and I had the most fun time with her capturing it all on camera.
Alexis, thank you for being so gorgeous and for always willing to jump in front of the lens.
Wow - right? Like I am in awe that I had such a gorgeous model for my last shoot!! This is Kaitlyn, one of my incredible sorority sisters who's actually heading out and graduating this May! I was so excited when she asked me to do her senior photos! I didn't even have to try because look at her - jeez!
We had such a fun time chasing the sun and exploring some new spots! But who knew we would meet some horses and who knew construction sites could be so beautiful?!
Thank you SO MUCH Kaitlyn! I am so ecstatic about this shoot and even more excited to share!
From meeting in high school to sharing their love now this couple seems to have it all. They smiled and laughed more than anyone I have ever met, anyone could easily see the love they share and I was so lucky to have spent the afternoon with them and getting some incredible shots.
Its really easy to take photos of a couple that really loves each other, because the best photos are able to show all the love a couple shares, and Spencer and Dakota made it oh so easy to see the love between them and to get some of my most favorite shots.
Its so fun to find fun spots and use the areas and neighborhoods clients live in for photos and we got so lucky with this shoot - these locations were this couples backyard and the hills they pass over while driving home.
Thank you Spencer + Dakota for sharing your day with me and for getting these wonderful photos!
Check out all of my favorites in my portfolio!
If you love this shoot and would love your own - book today!
Brenna and I woke up wayyyy too early last week to get a few fun shots - and boy was it worth it because this is one of my absolutely favorite shoots ever!! Brenna just radiates through the camera and I can't even explain how great it was to have her in front of the lens. I was excited to have a chance to try shots Ive never tried and we learned as we went, and I couldn't be happier.
Sometimes you can see how a person will be in front of the camera by just spending some time with them, but Brenna still surprised me. I don't think there was one photo where she wasn't smiling or laughing, or giving me her best smize - and those are hands down the most beautiful photos someone could get.
Thank you Brenna for being so wonderful and being an early riser just for me :)
So excited for all the shoots that 2016 has brought me and all the ones to come!
I was so lucky to be the one chosen to take photos for my lovely boyfriends sister a few weeks back. She is a graduate student at NYU enjoying the city while getting her degree. While she was home for just a few weeks along with Grayson and I for the holidays we took advantage of the cozy winter sun to get some fun photos in Downtown Littleton. It may look warm in the photos from the sun but January in Colorado did not fail to keep our toes and noses freezing!! Grayson and his dad spent their time at a restaurant watching football and having appetizers (I was kinda jealous) I was happy to do a shoot with Hayley because she hasn't been in front of the camera since high school and deserved an update! We had so much fun finding fun graffiti down alley ways and taking advantage of fun chairs and artwork all over the town.
Thank you Hayley and the Wagner family for such a fun afternoon with me to get such fun shots!!
Happy January my friends!
Last week my sorority had a full day of sisterhood. It was Founders Day, where we get together with the other chapter here in Colorado and celebrated our founders and Sigma Kappas history, its such a fun day to remember why were all here. My roomie Catherine was happy to celebrate this day with her newly initiated littles, that she needed some family photos! But thank you Catherine, Haeli and Michaela for being my models for the afternoon and I'm so happy to have you all as my sisters!
I realized that fall is coming to an end and the snow is going to be a more common thing to wake up to, but it was so fun to get this perfect group of ladies in front of the camera and spend one of the last warm fall afternoons with them. I'm starting to dread the cold because its getting harder to snap great photos! But thank you Catherine, Haeli and Michaela for being my models for the afternoon and I'm so happy to have you all as my sisters! Sincerely, Jules
To everyone who has supported me in my adventures - thank you.
Thank you for buying my canvases and keeping my bedroom/art studio covered in paint and brushes.
Thank you for reading my blog and (hopefully) laughing with me.
Thank you for telling me that my photos are getting better, and thank you for booking photo shoots with me, and thank you for pushing me to follow my dreams.
Nobody has the same path as anyone else, we all are just trying to get by and figure out who we want to be.
Every day I strive to make it the best day, it doesn't always work. I don't always have good days, but I do everything to follow my passions and continue being so grateful for everything I have and continue to push myself to be my best.
I am so very grateful for everyone who has helped me stay confident in my dreams and pushed me to keep moving forward, I truly couldn't do it without you.
So to anyone who thinks they aren't good enough, or someone is better at something than you are. Let it go. Follow your dreams and remember that EVERYONE deserves to be at the top, were all capable of success and we all have our own way of getting there.
I hope to someday be following my passions, who knows where that will take me. I may be completely different from who I am now but all that matters is that I am doing what makes me happy.
So follow your heart and remember to stay grateful - thank you thank you thank you to everyone who supports me - I love you all so much!
Sometimes you and some of your best friends are bored one afternoon and decide to drive around and take fun photos - we all do it don't lie. Brooke, Kenzie, and I all headed out to find some cute spots to take photos, after finding a secret spot with cute walls and fun photo spots I realized I forgot my sim card... so we drove home :( we couldn't just waste our afternoon so we headed down the road to downtown greeley - one of my favorite photo spots - and utilized the cute streets of our college town. With just a few minutes of sunlight left we quickly took some fun photos and I am so very glad that I got some practice with new models!
Thank you both for being so super sweet and spending the day with me!
The past few weeks this October have been incredibly crazy and filled with fun - it started after a week of sorority recruitment with days full of meeting new ladies and gaining some amazing new women into Sigma Kappa. Then two weeks were filled with events with a Fraternity for a philanthropy week and Homecoming week for UNC - days full of events, games, and friends. Along with my best friend Brooke we coached and choreographed a group of Sigma Kaps and Pi Kaps in a lip sync competition and placed third.. Im like a proud mother!
My great pal Davis made his multi-annual visit to Greeley with his fraternity brothers from Nebraska, luckily his visit landed on the last day of homecoming here at UNC where we were celebrating with his Fraternity brothers at our school! It was so great having Davis involved here in Greeley and I always love having him visit :-)
The Walk to End Alzheimers is an event my sorority participates in every fall as a chapter and it warms my heart to have my sisters by my side while we support all the lives lost and effected by Alzheimers - I love being able to have a moment to remember my grandfather and support the cause.
I spent a weekend with my mom and some of our friends in a cabin in Breckenridge. The perfect moment of relaxation with some wonderful people was exactly what I needed to ring in the fall season. Kenna - my fake adopted sister - and I surprised our moms and spent a cozy night in playing board games and catching up.
My days are filled with wonderful memories with Grayson, weekends full of football and selfies…
An exciting moment in history happened this week - I announced a page for my photography through my blog! My work now has its own home, I still plan to share blog posts about shoots but now friends and family have somewhere to look for my work and more information on shoots and how to contact me! It was a scary and exciting step forward for me - Im so happy for the future and so thankful for the support I've had!
Saint Motel - we weren’t even the front of the line but we definitely got front row - Catherine isn't used to shows like Saint Motel so I was so happy to be able to expose her to the amazing world of music I love. She even caught the set list and gave it to me I honestly couldn't have been more proud.
I am so very grateful for everyone and everything in my life - I have days full of friends and laughter and i honestly couldn't ask for anything more.
Sorority recruitment is an entirely different world from the other side of the chapter door. I have been through recruitment once as a scared freshmen and once as a more scared sophomore. This year felt different, I am a junior. I am confident and prepared to find some great women to continue on my amazing chapter. Then the day came. House tours. I was supposed to stand in line and walk out the big white Sigma Kappa doors and chant to welcome our visitors and I panicked. WHAT WAS OUR CHANT. WHAT ARE THE WORDS WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO STAND. I was lost. The door knocked and it was time to go out. It was a blur. Ladies walked in, toured our house, I spoke to 4-5 women and answered questions and showed them all what Sigma Kappa is. Do I remember it... Nope. Complete blur. I think the anxiety got to me. I wasn't so scared last year, well leading up to it I was but recruitment was so fun and a great experience with my sisters. This year I understood the meaning of recruiting great ladies. I'm more than halfway done, a junior, the new members invited to join our sisterhood are going to be continuing my legacy and it was my job to find those women. If you're going through recruitment from outside the chapter I'll tell you one thing - we are more nervous than anything and we want you to like us as much as we like you. It's all a mutual relationship and it means the world to us that you spend your days meeting us and choosing us every night to come back and see us tomorrow. It's scary but oh so worth it. The ladies we invited into our chapter this year are beyond perfect and ready to live on the Sigma Kappa legacy.
I know I don't say much about my sorority. But it means the world to me. It is the thing that fills my days nights weekends and everything in between. My sisters are constantly by my side no matter what I have going on. Without my chapter I wouldn't have the sisters, friends and life partners I have. It's a lifetime of sister hood that I'm am grateful for every single day. Thx for letting me open up about my beautiful chapter
I got to take pictures of my beautiful sisters through out the days of house tours, chapter emphasis and preference tea. They're beautiful ugh I love them all so much
I had the greatest time spending the afternoon with my sorority sister Monica this week. I pulled her in front of my camera for a few shots and ended up spending an hour walking around downtown getting some amazing shots. Monica is a sweet little blondie who didn't even need direction - she was a natural in front of the lens.
After a quick outfit change we explored the streets of downtown and got some incredible streetlight shots and used the great street art and graffiti painted alley ways. We had an amazing time and honestly I couldn't have picked anyone better to take to the downtown streets near our university! These pictures turned out so incredible and I am so happy to share them with you!
Thank you Monica for being absolutely stunning and making these perfect pictures happen!!
Her personality radiates through the camera and she made it impossible to take a bad photograph, I could barely choose which ones to share. We planned our time to walk around our beautiful college campus and the close shops for our shoot but the moment we stepped outside we knew we didn't need to go far. Our entire time was spent on our porch of our adorable apartment and in the back lot against a few of the houses and fences. Simplicity was all I need with this gem.
Thank you Beccs for being such an amazing roommate and for making this shoot so easy!! I love you bunches and bunches
some of my favorite shots - all the shots here and below are my own - to see the entire photos including my moms photos check out her website and blog (marlenegrooms.com) look how cute she is too :-)
The day started with my mom and I heading up to Breck, after a well needed stop at Starbucks of course. We arrived as the bride was beginning her makeup and hair just before she stepped into her dress, her daughter, sister, and mother were all around her gawking over how beautiful she was. My mom and I were just so happy to be capturing these incredible moments of this families life. It was heart warming. Quickly the ceremony was underway - a small group of close loved ones joined the couple outside under a tent with lights and flowers facing Breckenridge mountain, a stunning view. The couple had a loving ceremony full of family traditions and laughter. I truly hoped I captured the happiness from this wedding because I am sure I had the biggest smile the entire time. I may have just been a second shooter for my mom, who captured unbelievable photos (check out her blog and website!) but I learned so much and gained so much experience. We were even visited by a fox during the couples shoot, and i got a great picture of him! I am so glad to have been able to be at this beautiful wedding and take these photographs - I dream of a wedding this loving and happy
Thank you to my mom for having me at her side through her journey as a photographer, and thank you Christie + Cory for your happy marriage, your special day was special for me too and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Two of my very favorite ladies got in front of the camera for me recently, I am so very happy to say that they were the first ones to be my guinea pigs, the pictures aren't perfected yet but I absolutely love them! These girls are so easy to photograph its not hard to get a good picture from this shoot. Love you ladies
